
Welcome to the Texas Academy of Ballet
It is the goal of the Texas Academy of Ballet to offer a comprehensive dance program, with an emphasis on classical ballet.
The Academy’s ballet program is based on the syllabus provided by the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in London. The goal of the RAD is to ensure correct training and to inspire each student’s creativity, musicality and dramatic expression. The students may participate in annual examinations administered by an official representative of the RAD.

Summer Intensive Guest Artists
Misha Tchoupakov currently works with YAGP Ballet and Contemporary Dance Competition in New York as Rehearsal Director, Judge and Master Teacher and is an internationally renowned guest teacher. He joined the faculty of School of Dance at University of North Carolina School of the Arts in 2013 as Assistant Professor.
Katrina Blose earned her B.F.A. for Dance and Choreography from University of North Carolina Greensboro. Taught ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, and hip-hop at Artistic Motion Arts Academy in North Carolina and choreographed for their productions. Taught at North Carolina Dance Festival at UNCSA, Elon University, and was a guest master teacher for contemporary and hip-hop at National Dance Academy in Montevideo, Uruguay. She guest taught for Grand Ballet Japan 2015 in Kobe and choreographed for Morikawa Satomi Ballet Academy in Hiroshima, for their 13th Ballet Performance.
Kathryn Morgan is a former principal dancer with the National Ballet of Canada, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and a former soloist with the New York City Ballet. She currently performs, teaches, and speaks around the country, runs two highly successful YouTube channels and her podcast “The Kathryn Morgan Show,” and has her own app.

Henning Rübsam
is the artistic director and choreographer of New York City based SENSEDANCE. He will celebrate 23 years with the company with a 2015 Fall NYC season, November, 1 – 4 at The Kaye Playhouse in Manhattan. He has been on faculty at his alma mater, The Juilliard School, since 2006. Henning studied ballet with Carolyn Bognar in his hometown of Marburg, Germany before continuing his dance life in Hamburg and New York, where he danced withmany choreographers and dance companies, including The Limón Dance Company and Alwin Nikolais & Murray Louis Dance. He had the honor to create a solo for his late mentor, prima balarina assoluta Eva Evdokimova and has choreographed over 80 works for his company, often collaborating with composers Beata Moon, Ricardo Llorca, Leslie Wildman and other musicians.
